Student Data & Information Services Specialist Job Description:
Ensures efficient and effective operation of the Student Data & Information Services Department by providing support and assistance to the SDES Manager and Division staff. Enhances stakeholder service and satisfaction by serving as a single point of contact for communication and problem resolution. In addition to Specialist duties, responsible for evaluating department staff, facilitating team meetings, and taking the lead on department training and high-level state reporting requirements.
EQUIPMENT USED
Knowledge of basic computer hardware, including Mac, Windows, and Chrome. Strong use of Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES
Evaluates Student Data & Information Services Specialists.

Responsibilities:
Calendar Management:
Coordinate the Calendar Roll Forward process in the District Student Information System with approved calendars from the
BOE Leadership & Staff Evaluation:
Responsible for the evaluation of Student Data & Information Services Specialists. Facilitate meetings with the Student Data & Information Team to address concerns and operational needs
Data Integrity & Workflow:
Streamline Division workflow by routing incoming work requests and ensuring compliance with District policies. Coordinate vital services with the Planning Department to validate address authentication for the
Student Information System Enrollment & Records Management:
Assist the Manager with the successful implementation of records management policy, procedures, schedules, and tools. Facilitate efficient enrollment policies for guardianship, temporary guardianship, and foreign students to prevent FERPA violations
State Reporting & Compliance:
Manage state reporting requirements as determined by the SDES Manager, including the Record Integration Tracking System (RITS), Civil Rights Data Collection, and other federal and state reporting submissions and audit processes
Stakeholder Support:
Respond to telephone calls, records requests, subpoenas, and court orders from internal/external constituents in a timely manner
Training & Collaboration:
Lead the creation and facilitation of trainings pertinent to the position. Collaborate with the Lead District Registrar to set agendas for Registrar trainings. Work with the SDES Manager to set agendas for

$26.30 USD - $44.77 USD Hourly All salary amounts listed above are based on a full-time (1.0) FTE. If applicable, part-time salaries will be prorated according to the assigned FTE.
