Job Summary:
The VP of Enterprise Architecture, Data and AI reports directly to the CIO and is a member of the IT Senior Leadership Team. This leader is accountable for advancing the Company's enterprise architecture direction, enterprise data strategy, and foundational AI capabilities. The role provides the standards, frameworks, roadmaps, decision forums, and reusable capabilities needed to help teams move faster together—without creating centralized delivery bottlenecks. This role has three primary leadership dimensions: 1. Enterprise Data Strategy & Data Lake — Directly leads the team responsible for the Company's enterprise data lake, data platform capabilities, and enterprise data strategy. Owns the evolution of data architecture standards, governance, data quality, scalable pipeline patterns, and platform capabilities that support analytics, reporting, and AI-driven products. 2. Enterprise AI Technology Strategy & Centralized AI Capabilities — Establishes the Company's enterprise AI technology strategy and leads the implementation of foundational AI capabilities, including governance frameworks, reusable agent patterns, orchestration approaches, integration standards, and shared components. Owns enterprise-level AI capabilities and agents that span multiple domains, while enabling product and domain teams to build AI solutions on a common framework. 3. Enterprise Architecture Coalition — Leads a cross-departmental architecture coalition comprised of architects embedded across IT. Convenes, coordinates, and drives alignment on enterprise patterns, reuse, and architectural decision-making—ensuring teams move faster together without unnecessary friction or duplication. This leader does not own all AI delivery. Our vision is for AI to become embedded across our entire technology ecosystem. This role builds the centralized capabilities and common frameworks that make that possible, while enabling teams across the department to extend and apply them in support of the specific functions and lines of business they serve.

  • -Set and communicate the enterprise AI, data, and architecture vision, maintaining an integrated roadmap that aligns to business priorities, IT strategy, platform evolution, and emerging technology trends.
  • Lead the enterprise data platform team with accountability for the reliability, scalability, usability, and adoption of the Company's data lake and related enterprise data capabilities.
  • Own and evolve the enterprise data strategy, including platform architecture, governance, data quality standards, and scalable pipeline patterns that support analytics, reporting, and AI-driven products.
  • Establish and evolve the Company's enterprise AI technology strategy and foundational AI capabilities, including reusable agent patterns, orchestration approaches, integration standards, governance frameworks, and shared components that teams across the organization can leverage.
  • Lead the enterprise architecture coalition, convening domain, platform, and application architects from across IT to drive alignment, reuse, and enterprise decision-making—pragmatically and without unnecessarily slowing value creation.
  • Partner with application and software engineering teams to establish shared development standards, reusable patterns/APIs, CI/CD enablement, and quality engineering practices that reduce friction in adopting enterprise patterns.
  • Shape technology platform and partner strategy for enterprise data and AI capabilities, including build-vs-buy recommendations, vendor evaluation, and alignment of platform choices to enterprise architecture principles.
  • Advance enterprise knowledge access through documentation, patterns, playbooks, and AI-enabled discovery of institutional knowledge to reduce single points of failure and improve reuse.
  • Provide pragmatic architecture guidance that accelerates execution, avoids ivory-tower governance, and prevents late-stage review bottlenecks.

Job Requirements:

  • -Prior VP or Sr. Director experience, or equivalent senior technology leadership experience.
  • 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience spanning enterprise architecture, data platforms, AI-enabled systems, and/or large-scale enterprise technology capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across enterprise architecture, data engineering/platforms, data governance, and/or AI enablement.
  • Demonstrated success building, operating, and evolving enterprise-scale data platforms, data lakes, and data strategies with accountability for reliability, adoption, performance, and business value.
  • Experience establishing reusable enterprise standards, patterns, governance approaches, and integration frameworks that accelerate delivery without creating bureaucracy.
  • Experience shaping cloud, data platform, or AI platform strategy, including vendor evaluation, partner strategy, and build-vs-buy decisions.
  • Executive-level communication skills with a proven ability to translate technical complexity into business-relevant options, decisions, risks, and tradeoffs.
  • Track record leading through ambiguity and change with a balance of strategic depth and operational pragmatism—equally comfortable setting long-term direction and rolling up sleeves to unblock teams. The expected Total Compensation for this role is $195,000
