The role designs data pipelines, storage, and governance to support large-scale security analytics while ensuring compliance and data integrity. The ideal candidate translates complex TS/SCI security requirements into resilient, compliant data architectures. Working closely with cybersecurity and analytics teams, the architect oversees data migrations, establishes governance and metadata standards, and ensures data integrity, accessibility, and compliance with security policies. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in data modeling, hybrid data environments, and secure data management, with experience translating complex security requirements into resilient, compliant data architectures within TS/SCI environments. What you'll do: Define data architecture strategy for security platforms within a dedicated enclave
Design data pipelines, storage solutions, and data lifecycle management processes
Oversee migration of large-scale security data into new environments
Establish data governance, taxonomy, and metadata standards
Ensure data accessibility, integrity, and compliance with security policies
Collaborate with analytics and cybersecurity teams to enable advanced threat detection What you'll need to succeed: Active TS/SCI clearance
10 years of total experience, with 6-8 years specifically in data architecture / data engineering, including experience in secure environments.
Strong experience in data architecture and data modeling
Experience designing large-scale data ingestion and processing systems
Knowledge of structured and unstructured data management
Familiarity with data governance, lineage, and quality frameworks
Experience with hybrid data environments (on-prem + cloud)
Understanding of security and compliance requirements for sensitive data
SALARY RANGE
$174,000 - $202,000 The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including: The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include: Performance-based bonuses
