Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Data Quality Specialist is to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of business profile information and data maintained within the BBB database. This role supports the ongoing development and enhancement of BBB records through detailed research, data verification, and record creation, helping to maintain a reliable and trusted database for consumers and businesses alike.
Outline of Typical Duties:
Accurately enters and updates information obtained from business profiles, standard business questionnaires, and other verified data sources into the BBB database. Makes outgoing phone calls and conducts research to verify file information. Supports database development by expanding the number of rated companies and gathering relevant information for profiles currently classified as NR (Not Rated). Processes returned mail and researches, locates, and updates accurate business address information as needed. Serves as a liaison between Business Relations and Operations, assisting with data-related questions, returned mail, and other data quality concerns to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems. Conducts research to support data-related projects aligned with departmental and BBB objectives, ensuring accurate and reliable information management. Conducts data audits to identify, correct, and update information, improving the overall quality of the database. Assists businesses by providing requested login credentials and access support. Assists with front desk coverage by answering incoming calls and responding to emails to ensure continuity of communication when primary coverage is unavailable. Other duties as assigned. This position is a four day work week at 10 hours a day. (Monday - Thursday)

$18.00 per hour
