Job Description

Regulatory Information Specialist Office of Records and Regulatory Support Job Summary:
Specialized technical work supporting the Office of Records and Division of Regulatory Services.
Job duties include:
Ensures that all applications and submittals received are processed appropriately, creates and sends out final permit documents; scans paper documents received; processes sent and/or received mail (paper and electronic); processes the receipt of fees; prepares bank deposit of checks. Processing includes support and/or back-up for service center online activities. Performs database updates/changes as needed. Performs quality assurance check for technical staff reports, permits and sent mail given by Regulatory staff to be processed. Creates and responds to service requests related to ePermit and eReg. Monitors service requests to ensure timely completion and keeps user informed of remediation status. Processes refunds for manager's signature, prepares the documentation and sends final package to Finance for payment Receives and documents telephone calls from switchboard and/or the customer service line, troubleshoot and possibly provide resolutions to Regulatory questions and concerns; provides support to the public on how to submit applications and correspondence electronically to the District. Participates in the outreach efforts to promote the use of thee Permit system to submit applications, mail, and compliance submittals. Provides support for the Service Center (SC) staff. This may include support for other functional work groups, greeting the public; maintains visitor records; assisting with HR onboarding needs, and ensures that all packages and mail are prepared for daily outgoing shipment via US Mail.
Ability To:
Communicate with the public and/or other groups outside the assigned work area. Deal effectively with others in a professional, positive manner. Demonstrate effective communication skills both formally and informally in a clear and grammatically correct manner. Effectively coordinate activities with ORRS, DRS, as well as with other administrative support groups within the Service Center.
Skilled In:
Customer Service; Appropriate District applications, including web applications (i.e., ePermit and eReg) and Service Pro software. Computer skills include the Microsoft Office suite of products (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and the use of Internet Explorer, or another related browser.
Minimum Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED and four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative support work experience to include some quality assurance and computer end user support; or formal education may substitute for work experience.

Starting Salary Range:
$40,872.00 - $51,084.80 Starting salary is based on qualifications and experience.
