Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher preferred; Experience with Student Information Systems preferred. Training and experience in a broad area of technology with a desire to grow and learn new technology.
Summary:
Manage all aspects of the student information system, including but not limited to security management, data integrity, state reporting, database management, and custom reports to further increase the use and effectiveness of the student information system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide support for all system employees by investigating problems, entering vendor helpdesk tickets, informing all of update releases and research for improvements Prepare reports required at the local, state, and/or federal level utilizing the student information system Assist PreK - 12 teachers, support personnel, and administration in all areas of student information, including training and day-to-day operations Manage course creation, master scheduling, calendars, grade calculations, and other overarching functions within the student information system Handle complex system functions and provide expertise in non-routine situations Audit school data for compliance with state and federal standards Establish and enforce policies and procedures for the operation of the student information system Maintain proactive communication with schools concerning use of the student information system Coordinate state reporting (FTE/Class size, GUIDE, Student Class, Student Record, Student Course Profile, FitnessGram etc.) Assist Student Information Data Specialist with central enrollment when needed Manage SLDS security and role assignment Assist with third-party programs that require data from the student information system Use SQL and custom reports to enhance and simplify the use of the student information system Learn other information technology skills to provide support for field technicians and server administrators. Perform related duties as required or assigned by the Chief Technology Officer
