Job Description
Are you a detail-driven leader who loves organizing information, guiding teams, and keeping complex systems running smoothly? Join us as the Data Manager and help maintain the accuracy, consistency, and usability of the Co-op's product database. In this role, you'll train and support the data team, collaborate across departments, and ensure the Co-op's product and pricing information remains clean, reliable, and up to date.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Train, guide, and support the data team to ensure consistent performance and strong understanding of systems and workflows. Maintain and update departmental and organizational SOPs as processes evolve and database functions change. Collaborate with operational teams to ensure they use the database efficiently and accurately in their daily roles. Manage product and pricing updates, ensuring all information remains accurate, complete, and aligned with organizational standards. Process all changes related to pricing, size, vendor, descriptions, tax codes, discounts, and departmental categorization. Generate accurate reporting for end-of-month, quarterly, and year-end financial and operational needs. Troubleshoot database issues for employees, including ordering challenges, onboarding errors, and reporting limitations. Partner with Category Managers, Scan Coordinators, and IT to resolve data discrepancies, missed rings, and system inconsistencies. Oversee inventory processing and accuracy for both store locations. Ensure database alignment with third-party services such as RGIS, Instacart, Local Express, and
NCG. WHAT YOU BRING
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the full Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to multitask, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and perform essential mathematical operations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and collaborate effectively across teams. Consistent adherence to policies, procedures, and scheduling expectations. Reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed.
EXPERIENCE
High school degree required; college degree preferred. Previous data entry experience required, with strong 10-key skills and a typing speed of at least 30 WPM. Experience in retail (cashiering, ordering, data entry, reporting) is a plus. Must be at least 18 years old to perform all required job duties. Physical Demands This role requires the ability to work for extended periods in an office environment with prolonged sitting, computer work, and repetitive hand movements. Occasional bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required for filing, storing documents, or moving office supplies. Clear verbal communication with vendors and coworkers is essential. Working Environment Work is performed primarily in a professional administrative office setting with regular computer use, frequent collaboration with the Finance Team, and occasional interruptions. This role may require limited visits to store locations for meetings or training but is predominantly office-based.
