Pay Range:
$29.36 - $42.61 per hour Rush salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data. Summary:
The individual in this position will provide day-to-day management and support of Rush Medical College (RMC) data, applications, and internal systems. They will collaborate with the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTEI) and Digital and Information Services (D&IS) analysts to maintain and enhance RMC's learning management systems (LMS). This individual will work closely with RMC stakeholders and the RMC Data Manager to design effective dashboards that utilize the data from the Rush University/RMC data warehouse. They will also analyze RMC data collection and work to improve the implementation of collection techniques. The individual in this position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and ICARE values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is required; knowledge and/or proven experience with the creation, analysis, and reporting of data. High level of proficiency in data handling tools such as Excel, database applications, and data visualization applications. Experience in the use of an LMS system, Data Warehousing in any combination. Demonstrated experience managing projects involving a team of participants. Detail-oriented, highly organized with an ability to manage multiple tasks and interact with others professionally and cordially. Possess excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills and perform effectively on their own as well as part of a team. Maintains confidentiality and accuracy of all RMC student/course faculty data. Proven ability to set and maintain a standard for a high volume of productivity in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to build and maintain a positive team environment and culture.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Master's degree 1 year of experience in the project management of application systems and information management Experience in an academic environment
Job Responsibilities:
Manages the day-to-day operation of Canvas and Oasis LMS systems; Triages and resolves all system issues. Works closely with CTEI and D&IS teams to investigate and solve issues. Serves as the administrator of RMC's system to record student attendance and track requests for excused absence. Uploads data, maintains events and groups, and creates documentation for users. Works with aPlus+ representatives to troubleshoot issues or suggest enhancements. Participates in yearly curriculum building in RMC systems, including rostering, group creation, and event import. Manages Oasis user databases, including importing new users, and collaborating with clerkship coordinators and Graduate Medical Education (GME) to identify and deactivate users no longer active. Works with University IT staff to maintain Airtable user accounts. Develops and updates documentation for faculty/staff/students on the use of data, applications, and RMC systems. Maintains documentation for easy retrieval. Collaborates with RMC stakeholders to design visualization dashboards. Works with the RMC Data Manager to communicate vision to ensure the desired output. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of RMC student, course, and faculty data. Manages/documents all updates to Canvas and Oasis LMS systems, so changes/updates are effectively communicated. Manages the creation of user accounts, including Active Directory (AD) username lookup, photo upload, and accurate permission/role assignments. Validates faculty rank for inclusion in Rush systems. Collaborates with CTEI staff to investigate and report on various functions of Canvas and Oasis, which may be underutilized or unused for possible enhancement; works with RMC faculty/staff to explore and implement these functions. Creates annual clinical lotteries, including core, elective,e and site determination for rising M3 and M4 cohorts and requirement checklists (procedures, diagnoses, duty hours). Manages the acquisition, storage, and organization of hardware, including laptops, workstations, peripherals, cables, and adapters. Collaborates with other RMC staff as part of the RMC Data Governance committee, reviewing and prioritizing data requests. Other systems projects/duties as assigned.
