Until filled Student Information Systems Specialist I - Eight hours paid per day. 12 month position with benefits. Duties and Responsibilities Assists in registration of new to district and returning families Assist with tech support Maintain PAF set-up for new hires, changes and resignation/retirees Maintain Staff User Groups in Synergy Synergy setup and maintenance of specific areas
Specific Duties:
Support for registration of all new students/families including computer input of data and notifying school Maintains school calendar in Synergy Synergy Fee Set-up and maintenance Updates students and staff photos within Synergy Assists with entering "screening registrations" into Synergy from Early Childhood Assists in preparation for Spring Kindergarten Registration Maintain District Department Phone Lists Order Department Supplies Responsible Parent Help desk Support Tech support for SIS/Synergy Responsible for keeping Registration documents up to date Purchase Orders-Entry and Follow Up Student records, copies the file and sends it to the requesting school Responsible for keeping student records i.e.: storing white cards and home schooled cum files Assists registrar for parent follow-up with missing Birth Certificates Assists with general office duties as needed Reviews district website to confirm SIS information is accurate and up to date
Data Entry:
Generate and assist with reports for verification purposes in conjunction with Federal, State and District as assigned by the Director of Information Services All areas of registration Data entry as required
Registration:
Assist in all areas of registration throughout the school year as well as spring kindergarten and summer registration. This would include both paper and electronic registration forms
Helpdesk:
Assist staff and parents on a daily basis for all areas of support: Tech support (Spiceworks), Parent helpdesk and ParentVue, all of these areas are supported both via email, phone and walk-ins
Miscellaneous:
Communicate efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of district employees as well as parents Acquire and maintain current knowledge of the support policies, relevant product and service offerings, and alternative help sources for the efficient and effective accomplishment of duties Maintain confidentiality of ALL records and information within the SIS department To be able to work within a team environment Perform other job related duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Graduate General Computer Skills Basic Clerical/Organizational Skills Preferred experience with databases, Microsoft Office and Google Docs and Spreadsheets Student Information Systems Specialist
