Job Description
Oracle Architect Introduction We are seeking an experienced Oracle Architect to lead the design, architecture, optimization, and modernization of enterprise Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Oracle database architecture, high availability solutions, performance tuning, security, and cloud migration strategies. This role requires close collaboration with infrastructure, application development, business stakeholders, and leadership teams to deliver scalable and reliable database solutions. Responsibilities Define and implement Oracle database architecture standards and best practices. Design scalable, secure, and highly available Oracle database solutions. Lead database modernization, migration, and cloud transformation initiatives. Architect Oracle RAC, Data Guard, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery solutions. Review and optimize database performance across enterprise environments. Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure optimal database design. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to DBAs and database developers. Conduct architecture reviews and recommend improvements to existing systems. Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements. Support strategic planning, capacity management, and technology roadmaps. Requirements Required Qualifications 10+ years of Oracle Database experience with at least 5 years in an Architect or Lead Database role. Deep expertise in Oracle Database Administration and Architecture (Oracle 12c/19c/21c). Strong experience designing highly available and scalable Oracle environments. Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, and database replication technologies. Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization. Experience with Oracle security architecture, auditing, encryption, and compliance requirements. Experience supporting mission-critical production environments. Strong understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Experience with database migration, consolidation, and upgrade projects. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and cloud migration initiatives. Experience with Exadata environments. Familiarity with AWS or Azure database services. Experience with automation and scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible, Terraform). Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices for database deployments. Financial Services, Healthcare, or Enterprise-scale environment experience is highly preferred. Oracle certifications are a strong plus.
