Job Summary Department Specific Responsibilities Supports Student Affairs units in the development, implementation, and refinement of assessment plans aligned with divisional and institutional goals. Provides consultation on learning outcomes, program goals, measures, data collection methods, and use of results. Supports units in translating assessment findings into actionable recommendations for program and service enhancement. Designs, develops, and maintains interactive dashboards and visual reports to support Student Affairs assessment, program evaluation, and strategic planning efforts. Supports the integration of multiple data sources (e.g., surveys, institutional data, program data) into cohesive visual narratives. Develops and manages Tableau dashboards (or similar platforms) to track key performance indicators, student outcomes, engagement metrics, and progress toward divisional goals. Coordinates Student Affairs program review processes in alignment with divisional and institutional frameworks, timelines, and expectations. Serves as a point of contact for units engaged in program review, providing guidance on requirements, documentation, data sources, and deliverables. Supports units in compiling, synthesizing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data for program review purposes. Develops and delivers training, resources, and tools to build assessment knowledge and skills among Student Affairs staff. Provides 1-on-1 and group consultation to units on assessment design, data use, and continuous improvement practices. Contributes to communities of practice, working groups, or committees related to assessment and planning. Provides direct supervision, coaching, and performance guidance to a student data Analyst, including responsibility for training, evaluation, and workload prioritization. Provides project leadership and coordination for assessment-related initiatives, guiding cross-functional teams and partners without formal supervisory authority. Through mentorship and coordination, ensures alignment, quality, and accountability across people, processes, and deliverables. General Responsibilities Provides experienced analysis of existing data and data structures and satisfies ad-hoc reporting/analysis requests. Creates reporting specifications for new reports/dashboards/analytical tools and performs testing/validation; ensures integrity, accessibility, and accuracy of reports/dashboards and data structures; reviews and approves user requests for access to reporting data and tools. Consults with faculty and/or staff to identify new business reporting needs and provides guidance and interpretation of complex environments and data. Documents data analysis efforts (data sources, reporting specifications, tools, issue/problem resolutions). Performs experienced analysis to interpret and determine validity and quality of data. Performs migration and conversion of data as needed in support of analysis efforts. Researches and stays up-to-date on emerging technologies and tools and makes recommendations for implementation to improve data analysis services and approaches. EDUCATION
Required Bachelor's degree (preferably in computer science, information science, or related field.)

Works effectively both independently and as part of a team, providing leadership, coordination, and guidance on projects and initiatives as needed. Experience working with assessment in student affairs; experience managing program review/external review processes, experience working in higher education; Demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning and professional development in assessment, evaluation, and higher education practices. Proficiency using SQL, Qualtrics, and Tableau, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, and survey management tools (e.g., FireForm). Working Conditions / Demands This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
