This role sits at the intersection of: investment operations fund accounting private market transaction workflows investment data management reference data integration technology delivery You ll work directly with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and data teams to shape product direction and solve operational complexity across investment workflows. Environment Financial services investment management private markets / asset management data-intensive operating environment agile product delivery integration-heavy platform ecosystem What this role actually owns day to day owning roadmap decisions for private markets investment platforms translating investment operations workflows into deliverable product requirements partnering with fund accounting, ops, and technology stakeholders defining data movement between upstream/downstream systems resolving reference data and transaction data gaps working with engineering teams on integrations, validations, reconciliations, and issue triage supporting modernization of investment platform capabilities Key Responsibilities Own product roadmap for platforms supporting private equity and private credit operations Partner with investment operations, fund accounting, and technology teams to define scalable product enhancements Translate complex operational workflows into product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria Drive product discovery across transaction lifecycle workflows including capital calls, distributions, valuations, settlements, and reconciliations Oversee market/security reference data integration into investment and accounting platforms Define and manage data mappings across multiple interconnected systems Work directly with engineering and data teams using SQL-driven validation and issue analysis Support product controls, audit readiness, reporting integrity, and data governance requirements Measure delivery impact through operational improvement and platform adoption metrics Must-Have Requirements (Non-Negotiable) 7+ years in Product Management / Product Ownership / Business Product roles within financial services strong investment management domain expertise hands-on private markets experience (Private Equity and/or Private Credit) deep understanding of investment operations workflows strong fund accounting knowledge transaction lifecycle expertise market/security reference data experience hands-on data mapping across multiple systems SQL for validation / reconciliation / troubleshooting experience working directly with engineering and data delivery teams agile product delivery experience
