The Electronic Systems System (ESS) Division aka Force Protection Division's mission responsibility is to manage and execute the modernization, design, development, testing, fielding, and sustainment of the various software and hardware within the ESS Portfolio. This is a full-time position located at Hanscom AFB, MA. Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to: Manage the full lifecycle of records, including identification, assessment, contextualizing, archiving, and maintaining both paper and electronic archival systems. Provide Configuration Management (CM) for all program artifacts, including CDRL products, technical documentation, engineering drawings, software baselines, hardware/firmware configurations, and related records. Develop, implement, maintain, and administer CM plans for software, hardware, IT systems, and program documentation while ensuring design traceability, configuration integrity, and compliance with program requirements. Maintain comprehensive CM files, including configuration identification, change control documentation, status accounting records, and configuration documentation for ERP and IT systems. Convene, support, and manage Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and other cross‑functional review/change boards, including preparing materials, attending meetings, capturing minutes, recording approved changes, and tracking Change Requests, Discrepancy Reports, and Problem Reports. Review and analyze the weapon system development/sustainment contractor's CM program, CDRL data deliveries, compliance with requirements, and proposed changes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and no adverse impact to operations or sustainment. Track and report contractor data delivery status, manage workflows for data item deliverables, and support pre‑ and post‑contract award data reviews. Support engineering assessments, technical interchange meetings, major program reviews, and audits including PCA/FCA, while documenting findings, minutes, and action items. Maintain and control product baselines, ensuring integrity across major releases, minor releases, patches, and software maintenance activities; perform QA checks on system baselines. Manage CM libraries and software repositories, support licensing tasks, and assist with packaging and delivering software releases to users. Conduct data analysis, prepare CM‑related plans and briefings, perform CM program effectiveness studies, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions. Audit and review IT system configurations and assist the Government with configuration planning, documentation maintenance, configuration control, and participation in major program events and boards.

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field Years of experience: 3+ years of experience with 3+ years of experience in the DoD CM experience within the DoD environment Experience performing hardware and software configuration audits Experience performing the technical administrative activities necessary to manage CM tools for inventory control, version control, data duplication, and media labeling. Experience producing release notes and CM reports Understanding of the configuration change control process, the role of the CCB, and change control documentation Experience performing baseline administrative activities for multiple environments Experience developing briefings for management Understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle Ability to enter and manipulate data in a database (i.e Lifecycle Management Process, Microsoft Access, Sharepoint)
