To Be Determined Job Description Macon County R-1 School District is accepting applications for District Student Information Systems/Core Data Coordinator. The SIS/Core Data Coordinator manages the district's student information system (currently Infinite Campus) and ensures the accuracy, security, and compliance of all student data. This role supports school staff, oversees state reporting, and ensures data integrity for effective operations within our district. This role is critical in ensuring efficient, and accurate required data is submitted to DESE.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience in system integration, data management, or related roles, preferably in the education sector Strong technical skills with proficiency in database management systems, data analysis tools and integration technology and software implementation Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders Knowledge of student information systems - Infinite Campus is a plus Familiarity with data privacy regulations and best practices for data security and confidentiality High School Diploma or equivalent Excellent computer skills Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information as required by law Ability to work with others on multiple tasks/projects and complete assignments with specified deadlines
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Administrative Building/Central Office Entrance Secretary Serves as primary administrator for Infinite Campus. Configures system settings within Infinite Campus (calendars, grading, attendance, scheduling, enrollment, etc.). Manages user accounts, roles, and permissions within Infinite Campus. Regularly assigns State IDs for new students to the district through DESE. Coordinates system updates and vendor communication. Coordinates the compilation and submission of student and district data to DESE through the Core Data and MOSIS collection system. Maintains information to complete timely state reporting through MOSIS to ensure proper levels of state and federal funding based on Core Data submissions. Research and remains up to date with changes and new developments in state reporting. Reports changes in DESE rules to district administrators, principals, and staff. Oversees and trains building-level staff to ensure SIS data is entered correctly and in a timely manner for state reporting. Provides ongoing SIS training and assistance to all staff as needed. Works with administrators and other staff related to Core Data/MOSIS/SIS data. Determines causes of error messages and state level violations within MOSIS and SIS data and corrects them accordingly. Provides data and reports for various departments, schools, and outside agencies. Participates in professional development regarding Core Data/MOSIS and Infinite Campus. This position also serves as our Central Office receptionist located at the front desk in the Administration Building and schedules meetings held at the Administration Building. Collaborates with third-party vendors to develop integration processes and implement technical solutions to improve technical systems (SpedTrack, BusRight, MXR-E, etc.). Conducts thorough testing of integration points to ensure data accuracy, functionality, and interoperability between software products used by the district. Facilitates annual online registration cycles. Troubleshoots and resolves any integration issues in a timely manner, including entering technical support tickets with Infinite Campus. Completes the Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) Survey for the District during collection years. Assumes other duties as assigned.
