Full Job Description Position Summary:
Harris-Stowe State University is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Raiser's Edge Database Manager to support its Title III capacity-building initiative focused on modernizing the University's advancement data systems. This position will lead core activities related to database accuracy, data enrichment, digitization of historical donor and alumni records, and the implementation of data management standards. The ideal candidate will bring experience working with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge, possess strong data integrity and organizational skills, and be committed to supporting the University's growth in alumni and private-sector engagement. This position is 100% grant funded, with a 3-year period. Primary Responsibilities Serve as the primary Raiser's Edge system administrator, managing user access, system configuration, and data standards. Maintain high data integrity through regular audits, validation, and correction of incomplete, duplicate, or inconsistent records. Oversee accurate gift processing, coding structures, reconciliation workflows, and ongoing system maintenance to support fundraising activity. Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, queries, and segmented lists to support portfolio development, campaign planning, prospect research, and engagement activity. Digitize historical donor and alumni files, ensuring proper indexing, document upload, and linkage to the appropriate constituent record. Conduct research to identify new prospects, giving capacity, and engagement interests. Collaborate with the Registrar's Office and other departments to reconcile student and alumni data and maintain alignment across systems. Support the development and implementation of data governance policies, documentation, and staff training to enforce consistent data entry and reporting practices. Train Advancement staff on database procedures, system tools, query use, and data management best practices. Recommend and execute system enhancements and workflow improvements that strengthen fundraising infrastructure and analytics capability. Coordinate with external partners such as ResolutionsTech, Blackbaud, or other vendors during data audits, predictive modeling, or system upgrades. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience managing Raiser's Edge fundraising databases. Strong understanding of advancement operations, including gift processing, prospect management, and reporting. Proven ability to maintain data accuracy, integrity, and system standards. Proficiency in building queries, reports, and segmented lists to support fundraising activity. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to handle confidential donor information with discretion.
