Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area for a Manager - Inventory & Data Analyst. The role involves overseeing inventory control efforts, optimizing inventory levels, and managing data to inform efficient decision-making. Responsibilities include tracking and analyzing inventory data, implementing inventory management strategies, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with team members to enhance operational efficiency. The role also entails communication with stakeholders and providing support to ensure seamless inventory operations.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
Inventory Management Operations Stock Control:
Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials, components, and finished goods, ensuring high inventory accuracy through effective warehouse management practices.
Cycle Counting:
Develop and implement cycle count procedures, conduct regular physical counts and reconcile discrepancies with system data.
Replenishment:
Monitor stock levels and notify the Procurement Manager of inventory discrepancies to prevent overstock or stockouts.
Process Improvement:
Develop and document SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for inventory control, improving warehouse operational efficiency.
Material Network Storage:
Manage 1PL, 3PL and supplier partner rents within budget, while continuously looking for cost-saving opportunities.
Data Analysis & Reporting Demand Forecasting:
When required, collaborate with the Information Systems Manager, Procurement Manager and EVP of Customer Experience to review historical sales data, market trends, and Fishbowl to forecast future inventory requirements.
Analytical Reporting:
Prepare weekly/monthly reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, accuracy rates, and slow-moving items.
Data Modeling:
Utilize Excel and Power BI to create dashboards that track inventory metrics and visualize supply chain performance.
Data Integrity:
Audit data inputs to ensure system accuracy, researching and resolving root causes of inventory discrepancies. Qualifications Proficiency in Inventory Control and Inventory Management practices Strong Analytical Skills for data-driven decision-making and problem-solving Excellent Communication and Customer Service abilities to coordinate with teams and stakeholders Attention to detail and organizational skills Experience with inventory management software is a plus Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field is preferred Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, on-site environment
