Job Description

This position will be responsible for designing complex solutions from the beginning , automation and controls as well as developing operational processes to support and maintain our data solutions across multiple products, working with the business to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and accessibility of data. The Data Architect uses strategic analysis and enterprise-wide technology experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. The Data Architect leads the research, design, development, and integration of emerging technology architectures to align with business strategy, goals, and objectives. The Data Architect leads the development of enterprise-wide data technology architectures. Creates architectural principles to support business goals. Consults with senior managers and other technology professionals to develop technology frameworks that support business applications. Understands and models key business processes, business relationships, and the impact of technology on business goals. Formulates conceptual architectures and communicates architectural vision, goals, and design objectives to multiple audiences. Leads the development of technology strategies and roadmaps for emerging technologies, evaluating usefulness, and making recommendations regarding selected technologies. Assists senior managers in developing the Technology vision and strategy. Guides and consults with technology teams and business management regarding use of specific technologies and associated services. Identifies risks associated with current or new technology use.
Fundamental Job Requirements:
Five or more years related work experience. Uses independent judgment to handle moderately complex issues and problems. Possesses comprehensive general knowledge of subject matter to make decisions on various cases working independently. Works independently under general direction. Opportunity for errors are difficult to detect and may have adverse effect on business relationships. Communicates with both inside and outside contacts carrying out organization policy and programs. Communication requires judgment, explanation, discussion, problem solving and considerable tact. Regularly works with confidential data.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications Preferred Knowledge:
  • Experience working with Data Warehouses, Data Marts, etc.
  • Knowledge of data modeling principles Inmon and Kimball
  • Minimum of (3) years of experience with both Azure Data Factory, Python and SQL Programming
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • Insurance coverages, rating schemes and insurance products
  • Software, database or project management certification or designation
  • Cloud-based technologies ex.
Azure (DevOps, Data Studio, etc.)
  • Artificial intelligence/machine learning
  • Data orchestration (Data Factory AWS Data Pipeline)
  • Familiarity with data lake architecture and concepts, including scalable storage and compute, Apache Spark, and delta table concepts
  • Database manipulation software and/or software application development (ex. .NET, SQL, Python, NoSQL, etc.)
  • Data Modeling Tools like Erwin, Embarcadero
  • Cloud Data Solutions (Azure Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake)
  • DevOps tools like Git, Azure Data Factory, ADO, and SQL

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $10.00 - $11.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
