Data Architect

Job Description

•  Lead the architecture and design of end to end data and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Pipelines, Notebooks, and Power BI integration.
•  Design and implement data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration frameworks for batch and real time use cases using Python, SQL, and Spark based processing.
•  Define and enforce data architecture patterns, including medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) architectures, data modeling, and performance optimization strategies.
•  Act as a technical advisor to business and delivery teams, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
•  Partner with data engineers, analytics developers, and platform teams to ensure best practices for security, governance, and compliance are embedded into all solutions.
•  Support solutioning activities including technical discovery, architecture diagrams, estimates, and solution documentation.
•  Guide CI/CD and automation strategies for data solutions using cloud native tooling and pipelines.
•  Provide technical leadership during implementation, troubleshooting complex issues and driving continuous improvement.

•  7+ years of experience in data engineering or solution architecture roles
•  Hands on experience with Microsoft Fabric in production environments, including Lakehouse, Data Pipelines, and Power BI integration
•  Strong proficiency in Python scripting for data processing, automation, and analytics workflows
•  Experience designing and implementing cloud based data platforms (Azure preferred)
•  Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT patterns, and analytics architectures.
•  Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non technical stakeholders.
•  Experience with Databricks
•  Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance practices in enterprise environments.
•  Experience supporting pre sales or solutioning efforts, including client presentations and architecture reviews.
•  Background in Power BI semantic models and enterprise reporting strategies.
•  Exposure to DevOps or CI/CD practices for data and analytics platforms.
