We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to spearhead the definition, design, and governance of data assets within the Supply Chain organization within Global IT. This pivotal role ensures that data remains consistent, high-quality, secure, and accessible to support strategic business initiatives. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, delivery leads, data engineers, data scientists, and enterprise architects to build robust data models and integration strategies. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the data landscape, including sources, consumers, and requirements within Supply Chain.
  • Strategic Alignment:
    Define the domain's data vision, principles, and standards, ensuring they align with the broader enterprise data strategy.

Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models that accurately reflect the domain's assets and relationships.

    Ensure all data models are scalable, performant, and adhere to industry best practices.

    Define data dictionaries, standards, and quality rules.
  • Transformation Strategy:
    Define the DBT modeling layers and strategy for data initiatives.
  • AI Enablement:

Collaborate with governance teams to establish and enforce policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Define and monitor data quality metrics, working with teams to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Transparency:
    Participate in data cataloging efforts to ensure traceability and transparency of data assets.
  • Standardization:
    Enforce enterprise-set standards for metadata, master data management, and modeling.
  • Optimize:
    Perform regular reviews of high-cost queries and data pipelines; re-architect inefficient flows to reduce Snowflake credit consumption and improve report performance.
  • Evaluate:

Design and document data integration patterns and flows between the domain and other relevant systems.

Subject Matter Expertise:
Act as the primary SME for data within the business domain.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    Translate business needs into technical requirements and communicate concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership:
    Partner with Enterprise and Solution Architects to ensure technological alignment , and work with Customer Success and governance teams to ensure principles are implemented correctly.

Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    6+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data management.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Deep understanding of modeling methodologies (relational, dimensional, NoSQL).
  • Strong grasp of integration patterns (ETL, ELT, API integration).
  • Experience with relational databases (e.
g., SQL Oracle, Postgre
SQL, SAP HANA, SAP BW
).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing/data lakes (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, GCP BigQuery, Hadoop).
  • Experience with transformation tools like DBT or Coalesce.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
  • Governance:
    Familiarity with data governance principles, data quality management tools, and practices. Preferred Qualifications
  • Domain Expertise:
    Experience designing data solutions for Supply Chain with relevant Supply Chain process knowledge
  • Industry Experience:
    Experience in Retail or CPG domains.
  • Regulatory Knowledge:
    Knowledge of privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Tooling:
    Familiarity with metadata management and data catalog tools.
  • Certifications:
    Relevant certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or cloud-specific data certifications.
  • Skills:
    Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Compensation and Benefits Salary Range $106,400.00
  • $150,000.
00 USD Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year).
