SOM - Assessment and Evaluation Analytics Coordinator St. George's University invites applicants for a full-timeAssessment and Evaluation Analytics Coordinator role, in the School of Medicine JobDescription Objective The Coordinator for Curriculum Evaluation and Assessment Data Analytics andReporting is an important role in the Curriculum Evaluation and Assessment Division (CEAD) within the Dean's office. Reporting to theAssociate Dean of Evaluation and Assessment, the coordinator for the program assists with the design and implementation of systems andprocesses for reporting, data analysis, and performance tracking in the MD program. The Coordinator works both independently andcollaboratively with CEAD faculty and staff to streamline and enhance analytics and reporting processes ensuring effective data-drivendecision-making and support for continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding ofeducational data management and reporting systems, with hands-on experience in Power BI, Microsoft Access, SQL, DAX, and advanced Excelfunctionalities. This role involves developing systems for reporting student performance data, creating dashboards, and collaborating withIT teams and other stakeholders to design, integrate, and manage data reports that provide actionable insights into student outcomes andcurricular effectiveness. Essential Functions Coordinate all aspects of performance and outcome dataanalytics and reporting; preparation and dissemination of reports; and liaising with department faculty and administration. Developmechanisms to assist CEAD faculty in monitoring and meaningfully analyzing student performance data to drive decision-making around studentsupport initiatives and curricular improvement. Design and coordinate analytics and reporting mechanisms for reviewing studentperformance and student progression data; identifying students not achieving minimum performance standards; making determinations related toadvising, remediation, and stipulations for progress; and communication of requirements to students. Prepare presentations and datafor reports made to the Assessments Committee, Academic Progress Review Committee (APRC), and the Committee for Satisfactory Academic andProfessional Standards (CAPPS). Partner with IT to develop and maintain student performance databases and reporting and to driveongoing improvement of performance tracking and evaluation systems. Assist with the tracking, reporting, and analysis of allstudents' performance on assessments of knowledge, clinical skills, and professional behavior. Assist with projects related tocontinuous quality improvement, assurance, and compliance with accreditation standards. Assist with the design and implementation ofeducational research projects related to assessment and evaluation and the presentation of research findings for various stakeholders(administration, university committees, and accrediting agencies). Provide expertise and instruction in data analytics andreporting Develop and maintain reporting systems that track and analyze student performance data across variousmetrics. Utilize Power BI, Power Query, and Microsoft Access to extract, clean, and manipulate data for reportingpurposes. Write and optimize SQL queries to generate complex reports and ensure data integrity. Use DAX (Data AnalysisExpressions) or N code to create calculated columns, measures, and KPIs within Power BI for advanced reporting. Design sophisticatedpivot tables to summarize data and uncover insights. Create and implement interactive dashboards and data visualizations to presentstudent performance trends, outcomes, curricular effectiveness, and actionable insights to stakeholders. Integrate data frommultiple sources into cohesive, comprehensive reports that provide a unified view of student performance. Develop and designreporting and analytics systems to monitor curricular effectiveness and provide insights for continuous improvement. Identifyinefficiencies in data processes and implement automation solutions to streamline reporting and analysis workflows. Collaborate withIT teams and developers to design and build custom reports and data pipelines to improve data flow and reporting efficiency. Assistin designing and developing automated systems for incorporating data from spreadsheets into personalized documents and facilitating bulkdistribution via email or other communication tools. Provide expertise and guidance to the data analysis team, offering training onreporting tools and best practices. Train and mentor data analysis teams to build capacity and improve data reportingskills. Ensure data accuracy, proper handling of sensitive information, and high-quality reporting outputs. Manage multiplereporting projects concurrently, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail while meeting deadlines. Adapt toshifting priorities and work independently with a high tolerance for ambiguity or collaborate with cross-functional teams to meetorganizational goals. Other duties as required by the Associate Dean of Evaluation and Assessment. EssentialKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, Microsoft Access, and SQL. Strongexperience with DAX or N code for creating complex calculated fields and measures. Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP,PivotTables, and dashboard creation. Highly proficient in the use of Word, PowerPoint, Working knowledge of Statisticalpackages such as SPSS., Learning management systems, e.g. Sakai, Canvas, and Survey generation and analysis tools, e.g.
Qualtrics Ability to develop customized applications for data management and reporting. Ability to lead and manage reportinginitiatives from start to finish. Work independently with a high tolerance for ambiguity or collaborate with cross-functional teamsto meet organizational goals. Excellent attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and high-quality reportingoutputs. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear, actionable format forstakeholders. Ability to train and mentor data analysis teams to build capacity and improve data reporting skills. Strongproblem-solving abilities and the capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and shifting priorities.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working within educational settings or with student performance data is aplus. Familiarity with additional reporting tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, R). Practical experience usingSharePoint and learner management systems. Proficiency in managing and utilizing online platforms for data storage, organization,and assessment. Qualifications Master's degree is the minimum qualification. Post-secondary degreein Education, Psychology, Data Science/Statistics or an appropriate field preferred. Minimum five years' experience in a highereducation setting, preferably a medical education environment. Experience in education and administration with a background inhigher education research, data management and analysis, student assessment, psychometric testing, curriculum development or administration,preferably in medical education.
