  • Field Service Section This position is open to current BCI staff only Telework Eligible (after successful training period) BCI Field Services is responsible for overseeing access to criminal history data by criminal justice agencies.
This means that the section audits and trains personnel from law enforcement, courts, attorney's offices, etc., on the proper access, use, and dissemination of criminal history data. Field Services also oversees the Missing Persons Clearinghouse, the Utah AMBER Alert, and the collection of crime statistics via the Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program. The open positions will primarily be involved with auditing/training, but may also assist with the other duties of the section as needed. Principal duties Oversee access to criminal history data Audits and trains personnel from law enforcement, courts, attorney's offices, etc. Oversee Missing Persons Clearinghouse and Utah AMBER Alert Collection of crime statistics via Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program Qualifications Requirements Must pass the Utah Bureau of Identification Proficiency test within probationary period and maintain certification thereafter. Must be a current BCI employee. Preference may be given to candidates who: Have knowledge of UCJIS, NCIC and other supported systems Have advanced knowledge of BCI programs and activities Have advanced data entry skills Have previous experience in training others Have previous experience in auditing Supplemental Information
  • Working hours are Monday
  • Thursday (4, 10 hour shifts) Telework will be two days in the office and two days teleworking Training hours may vary (evening hours, but not to exceed more than once a month) About the Role Location
