As Data & AI Operations Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role at the heart of QBE's Group Data & AI organisation, ensuring the smooth running, governance and operational effectiveness of a complex, multi‑location function. Working closely with the Group Head of Data & AI and senior leaders across the business, you will drive operational excellence, support strategic delivery and create the conditions for Data & AI to scale responsibly and efficiently across QBE. This is a highly visible role with genuine influence — ideal for someone who thrives on bringing structure, alignment and momentum to sophisticated global environments. Having the right to work in the UK is a requirement for this role. QBE may consider sponsorship at its discretion. Your new role As Data & AI Operations Senior Manager, you will lead and manage the operational activities for the Group Chief Data & AI Technology Office (CDATO), ensuring effective delivery of support services, governance and operational strategy.
Key accountabilities include:
Managing budget oversight and business case activity, partnering with finance and relevant teams Leading vendor onboarding, governance and SLA management across all Group Data & AI vendor relationships Owning change and communications activity for the Group CDATO function Managing business‑as‑usual activities related to Data & AI governance Producing high‑quality reporting and executive‑level materials, including presentations for senior forums, working closely with SMEs, Change and Communications teams Maintaining the Group CDATO internal website and knowledge base, and collaborating with divisional change leads to consolidate change activity into a single, integrated view Managing tooling and wider operational issues across CDATO, partnering with Group Platforms and other enabling teams as required About You You are a senior Data & AI operations leader with a strong track record of enabling complex, global data and analytics functions to operate effectively.
You bring:
Proven experience running operations for a multi‑location Data, Analytics or AI function within a complex organisation Strong strategic judgement, with the ability to identify execution risk and proactively put mitigations in place Confidence engaging at executive level, including preparing high‑quality materials for Group Executive and senior governance forums Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to drive progress without formal authority Credibility working with Divisional Heads of Data, IT, ETO and senior business leaders to align priorities, OKRs and outcomes across the organisation
Compensation Package:
The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE's annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.
