Job Summary:
We are seeking a Lead Data Product Manager to take charge of our analytics vision and roadmap, focusing on crafting valuable analytics datasets, governed metrics, and actionable dashboards. This role involves translating ambiguous business questions into durable, efficient data products while establishing a methodology for prioritizing analytics requests. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our Data Engineering and Data Science teams to ensure the development of scalable, analysis-ready datasets and will oversee the strategic approach to dashboards, including their lifecycle from concept through iteration.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and oversee the analytics datasets, governed metrics, and dashboard roadmap. Translate business questions into detailed requirements for scalable data products. Work collaboratively with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to enable analysis-ready datasets. Manage the analytics request intake process and maintain documentation on team wikis. Drive stakeholder engagement, quarterly planning, and the success metrics for data projects.
Must-Have Skills:
Proficient in SQL and data warehousing concepts. Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI). Strong documentation skills and familiarity with tools like Confluence.
Required Experience:
Prior experience in a similar role within the data analytics or product management domain. Background in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field. A Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus. Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management, requirements translation, and executing sprint rituals.
