Job Description

The Arc Mid-Hudson, recognized as a leader in our field and one of the largest employers in the Hudson Valley, has a new opportunity for a Data Systems Integration Technical Lead who will join our growing agency of over 1200 employees. This position will lead data integration efforts, through the entire data lifecycle, lending technical expertise to staff of the agency specifically geared towards supplying data products, systems and programs that serve the mission of the agency. Key responsibilities of the position will involve, but will not be limited to: Design, develop, and maintain robust data architectures to support data integration, products, and analyses• Be the primary person who builds and maintains solutions that enable the export and conversion of data. Provide technical leadership for the data analytics team, providing guidance and setting technical specifications and standards where applicable. Establish data architecture standards, frameworks, and models across platforms. Develop and maintain scripts, processes, or applications that simplify and automate workflows. Improve data governance, backup and security, specifically around data systems. Help identify and select relevant products and solutions that serve the Agency. Provide guidance and support to end users for the various data systems/products to maximize the use of those products. Create documentation on in-house developed data solutions.
HOURS:
40/Monday through Friday/must be flexible
STARTING SALARY
$81,550 to $ 95,000 per year, based on relevant experience and education
Job Requirements:
Experience in architecting and driving Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Data Access Management, Data privacy across the enterprise Bachelor's degree in computer/data related discipline and 2 years of relevant experience or at least 6 years of relevant work experience. Self-directing team player with an interest in the field of Business Intelligence. Experience in delivering data products aligned to business requirements and aligned to the data mesh principles in the modern data warehousing paradigm Practically leading successful technical adoption of modern data management capabilities into an enterprise organization. Quick learner and good teacher. Willingness to own a problem, figure out solutions in an independent manner whilst collaborating intensively with the rest of the IT team on any IT related topic that may need attention. Proven expertise in SQL, including complex query design, data modeling, performance optimization, and thorough code documentation. Experience with expression languages (e.g., Excel formulas, R, Python, PowerShell, and Regular expressions) and/or other scripting languages. Understand the automation of tasks (i.e., export, import, and reporting tasks in a Windows environment). Understand data models, data warehousing, and the ETL process. Comfortable with a Windows computer environment, running MS Office Productivity Software. Understand and implement security best practices to ensure the security and integrity of agencies' data. Familiar with the requirements of HIPAA and HITECH. Detail oriented and organized. Additional Qualifications Experience with Business Intelligence tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI. Experience with data integration tools and methods, including SFTP file transfers, REST APIs, and direct connection to external databases, as well as 3rd party tools to automate these processes Knowledge of healthcare data, specifically centered on those with developmental disabilities. Familiarity with SharePoint, MS Dynamics or other financial packages, HR and EHR Systems. Experience with various data types, including financial, HR, healthcare. A passion for working in a field that serves those with developmental disabilities.
