Director, Data Strategy & Insights AmeriCU Credit Union is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director, Data Strategy & Insights to lead enterprise-wide data strategy, governance, and decision enablement. This role serves as the business owner of data strategy—driving how AmeriCU leverages data to improve member experience, increase operational efficiency, and support revenue growth. The Director, Data Strategy & Insights will partner closely with executive leadership to transform data into actionable insights that influence key business decisions and organizational priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Director, Data Strategy & Insights Data Strategy & Roadmap Define and lead AmeriCU's enterprise data and insights strategy Align data initiatives with business goals and strategic priorities Identify high-impact opportunities in analytics, automation, and operational intelligence Establish KPI frameworks and measurement standards across the organization Business Insights & Decision Support Partner with executive leadership to identify strategic and operational insight needs Translate complex business challenges into actionable data initiatives Develop dashboards, scorecards, and performance reporting for leadership Analyze trends, risks, operational inefficiencies, and member behaviors Governance & Data Integrity Establish governance processes, definitions, and ownership standards Create structured intake and prioritization processes for analytics requests Improve data consistency, accuracy, and trust across departments Reduce duplicate reporting and streamline insights across the organization Cross-Functional Leadership Serve as a key liaison across business units, IT, digital, operations, and finance Lead organization-wide discussions around performance metrics and outcomes Drive increased data literacy across leadership and teams Operational Optimization & Innovation Identify opportunities to: Reduce manual work Improve member experience Increase operational efficiency and productivity Enhance product adoption and engagement Support automation and AI initiatives with meaningful, business-driven data Leadership Competencies Strong communicator who can translate strategy into clear direction and priorities Builds high-performing, engaged, and inclusive teams Drives vision, trust, and accountability across the organization Leads change and innovation with resilience and adaptability Aligns teams and initiatives to long-term strategic goals

Qualifications:

Director, Data Strategy & Insights Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred) 8-12+ years of experience in data, analytics, or business strategy 3-5+ years of leadership or enterprise-level initiative experience Strong background in: KPI development Data-driven decision-making Business insights and analytics Experience with data governance and prioritization frameworks Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive alignment Familiarity with business intelligence (BI) tools and data environments Strong business acumen with an analytical, forward-thinking mindset Why Join AmeriCU?
