Job Description
Labcorp is seeking an Executive Director, Enterprise Data and Insights to join our team in the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC office.
Work ScheduleThis is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in your local time zone. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible.
Applicants who live within 35 miles of either the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC location will follow a hybrid schedule. This schedule includes a minimum of three in-office days per week at an assigned location, either Burlington or Durham, supporting both collaboration and flexibility.
ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Data & Analytics StrategyDefine and execute the enterprise data and insights strategy aligned to organizational priorities and paired with technology and healthcare industry trends. Lead the evolution to our third-generation, AI-first analytics capabilities grounded in first-principles thinking and responsible AI practices. Develop and execute strategies for Data-as-a-Service and Insights-as-a-Service for internal and external customers. Some technologies we use today are - AI stacks (AWS Bedrock Agent/AgentCore, Microsoft copilot), Data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, SAP HANA), Visualization & Reports (PowerBI, Tableau, Crystal), etc.
Executive Partnership & Value RealizationPartner with senior leaders across clinical, operational, and corporate functions (e.g., Sales & Marketing, RCM, Finance, Operations) to translate strategic priorities into actionable and scalable analytics capabilities.
Identify and propose innovative analytical solutions that leverage corporate, clinical, and third-party data assets. Ensure stakeholder alignment through regular communication, executive reviews, and roadmap updates. Architecture, Data Management & GovernanceCoordinate all aspects of defining and delivering analytics products that leverage enterprise, clinical, and third-party data sources. Establish well-governed processes that enable scale, quality, security, and responsible use of data and AI. Ensure analytical solutions meet regulatory, privacy, and security requirements inherent to healthcare data. Delivery Leadership & Execution AccountabilityOwn accountability for the end-to-end delivery of enterprise analytics capabilities, including platforms, data products, and insight delivery mechanisms. Lead the execution of a prioritized portfolio of analytics initiatives, balancing speed, quality, and business impact. Define and track key metrics across the various value streams.
Vendor & Partner ManagementManage strategic vendor relationships, including oversight of contracts, statements of work, and delivery governance. Ensure vendor performance aligns with enterprise standards, delivery expectations, and value objectives. Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree.10 or more years of technology leadership experience.5 or more years of experience in an executive role, leading large cross functional analytics teams in complex matrixed organizations.5 or more years of experience in modern enterprise data architecture, data governance, data quality and advanced business analytics.10 or more years of experience in cloud-native technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP). This includes data stacks such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake. Data engineering & ETL technologies such as pyspakr, Informatica, Datastage and analytical tools such as R, python as well as visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI. Preferred QualificationsMaster's DegreeAdditional Job StandardsExperience building and managing a large globally dispersed team.
Experience leading complex technical product portfolios in regulated environments.
Adept at managing large technology budgets, vendor relationships, and global delivery models.
Experience leading operational excellence initiatives, including automation, process re-engineering, and shared services models.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, and risk management frameworks in highly regulated industries.
Executive presence and strong communication skills with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and present to boards.
Demonstrated success building consensus across business and technology leaders to drive prioritization and investment decisions.
Superb customer service and relationship building capabilities.
Healthcare industry analytics experience strongly preferred.

In this role you will get to leverage your significant informatics and artificial intelligence skills to accelerate our actionable insights and data strategy for the entire organization. This role is accountable for advancing the availability and use of clinical and operational data to deliver business critical insights and data capabilities that power our external and internal customer experiences using platforms.
The Executive Director will oversee the development and delivery of enterprise analytics platforms, business intelligence capabilities, and custom data products via the use of responsible AI Agents, portals, data feeds, APIs, intuitive reports, and dashboards as well as ad hoc analyses. They will partner closely with senior leadership across the organization to develop and execute a prioritized, value-driven roadmap. They will also lead a fairly large team of world-class data and analytics professionals. Key stakeholders for this role include our vast provider network including hospitals, health systems, value-base care organizations, patients, payers, partner organizations and corporate functions such as Sales & Marketing, RCM, Corporate Ops, Finance, etc. The role requires deep fluency in healthcare data and the ability to translate complex analytical outcomes into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
