This position focuses on automating and optimizing the physical lifecycle and data integrity of hardware components for the organization. Key responsibilities include overseeing the full lifecycle from initial intake, tagging, and deployment to user assignment, field maintenance, and secure decommissioning while implementing robust policies to ensure compliance and cost-efficiency. This position serves as a strategic partner to the procurement, logistics, and network engineering teams and requires an advanced understanding of database schema and physical data dependencies to maintain a high-integrity hardware asset repository.
Key Responsibilities & Duties Hardware Compliance & Lifecycle Optimization:
Ensure all physical equipment adheres to vendor warranty terms, government tagging regulations, and company policies. Actively identify and execute opportunities to reduce waste through equipment reallocation, hardware optimization, or decommissioning underutilized infrastructure.
Asset Inventory & Reporting:
Maintain the absolute "source of truth" for physical hardware assets. Track real-time placement, lifecycle states, and serial data, and generate executive-level reports on inventory buffers, and potential database risk profiles.
Process & Policy Development:
Architect and enforce standardized procedures for hardware request workflows and end-of-life sanitization processes.
Procurement Support:
Act as a strategic partner for the hardware procurement and warehouse logistics teams, assisting with manufacturer SKU validation, purchase order (PO) alignment, and receipt verification during peak deployment periods.
Required Skills Technical Data Expertise:
Proficiency in relational database structures and CMDB logic. Candidates must demonstrate a deep understanding of data schema dependencies to ensure physical assets are accurately mapped to procurement orders, network locations, and user records.
Platform Proficiency:
Direct experience managing asset and configuration data within ServiceNow. Must be comfortable navigating complex views, mapping table relationships, and managing record-level inventory data integrity.
Analytical Problem-Solving:
Advanced ability to analyze complex hardware deployment datasets, identify equipment utilization trends, and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system records (such as untracked shipments or incorrect model types). Attention to
Detail:
High level of precision in creating and maintaining large-scale database records. Must have a proven track record of auditing hardware attributes (serial numbers, MAC addresses, model numbers) and correcting data inaccuracies at the root.
Organizational Systems Management:
Mastery in managing complex data environments, maintaining meticulous documentation, and coordinating multi-step physical asset lifecycle processes. This position requires a Department of Defense security clearance at the SECRET Level for consideration. U.S. citizens only are eligible for a security clearance and this opportunity. Education High school diploma required, college degree preferred. Compensation Dexian reasonably expects to offer $35.00/hour to $37.00/hour for this position based on skills and experience.
