To read more about us, please visit our website at www.patientadvocate.org. The Opportunity PAF is currently seeking a Manager, Research & Data to join our team. This role will support all aspects of the organization's quantitative research initiatives, with a primary focus on survey development, literature reviews, manuscript preparation, research data management, and project coordination. This role will oversee research workflows to ensure the timely execution of surveys, data collection, and reporting deliverables. Working under the direction of the Director of Health Services Research , the Manager will collaborate closely with the research team to support high-quality research operations and dissemination activities. Responsibilities include managing survey development, administration and analysis; coordinating manuscript development and publication processes; maintaining data integrity and documentation standards; and overseeing timelines and deliverables across multiple research projects. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for research operations and relationships, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of datasets, reports, manuscripts, and other scientific resources to senior leadership and external stakeholders. This position is eligible for remote work, and we are considering candidates primarily within the Eastern Time Zone, which includes Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Georgia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Washington, D.C., and Florida. Additionally, some Central Time Zone states, such as Louisiana, Texas, and Colorado, are also included in our area of consideration.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
Research and Data:
Manage research operations, workflows, and timelines across multiple concurrent projects Lead survey development, administration, and analysis, knowledge of Qualtrics is required Support manuscript preparation, publication processes, and dissemination activities Maintain research data integrity, documentation standards, and reporting accuracy Collaborate with research, evaluation and dissemination teams to support data collection, analysis, and reporting initiatives Develop analytic plans and summarize key findings for internal and external stakeholders Prepare reports, presentations, and executive summaries to communicate research outcomes Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting processes, and research workflows
Project Management:
Manage quantitative research and operational projects from planning through implementation and completion Define project goals, timelines, milestones, and resource needs to support research initiatives Collaborate with leadership, staff, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and streamline workflows Coordinate with external partners to support successful implementation of research projects Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance research operations and project efficiency Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Business, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred Minimum of 2 years of professional research and project management experience required; a Master's degree may substitute for required experience Advanced experience with Qualtrics or similar survey development platforms Working knowledge of R or similar software for analysis
