    1st round: Virtual Interview via MS Teams video. Please use laptop and be prepared to share screen if asked. 2nd round may be held in-person. Candidates MUST be available for an in-person interview.

    1 year with possible extension

Resource will be working a hybrid schedule.

Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week.
  • Local candidates (strongly preferred) or non-local (must be willing to relocate at their own expense from acceptance with no delays & follow the hybrid schedule) Job Description Seeking a senior level Programmer Analyst to join the DTMB team supporting the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) and their Grants and Accounting application NexSys.
Project Overview This position would be supporting the creation of educational grants and Analytical Reports in the NexSys System. NexSys contains over 100 educational grant applications that are rolled over yearly with minor to major changes each year. Applications are configured primarily with a click not code interface using SQL for custom error checks and calculations. Analytical Reports are SQL based and provide end users with data insights for each grant. Strong SQL expertise and attention to detail are a strong must for this position Top Skills & Years of Experience Skill Required / Desired Required Years of experience Experience developing Systems with Microsoft SQL Server database Required 3 Year Experience writing complex Stored Procedures, Functions, and Views Required 3 Years Experience working in a team environment Required 3 Years Experience with the Microsoft .NET programming language. (C#.NET and/or VB.NET) Required 3 Year Experience with Federal, State or local grant management systems Highly Desired 2 Year Experience with Playwright Highly Desired 1
