Job Description

Mississippi Charter Schools Association (MCSA) MCSA is the statewide voice for public charter schools in Mississippi. Position Overview The Operations & Data Manager will manage the systems, coordination, and infrastructure that power the organization's work. This role sits at the center of the organization by supporting the Executive Director and working closely across teams to own the coordination and execution of key organizational priorities, ensuring work moves from planning to completion with strong follow-through and accountability. The Operations & Data Manager will oversee internal systems, manage key organizational data, coordinate events and logistics, and provide high-level execution support across advocacy, member engagement, and executive priorities. This role serves as a central driver of execution across MCSA, ensuring alignment, accountability, and progress across multiple workstreams. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate internal systems and workflows that support MCSA's day-to-day operations. Maintain and optimize project management tools to track priorities, timelines, and progress. Ensure consistent execution across team priorities by tracking tasks, deadlines, and follow-ups. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, organization, and team coordination. Manage the data systems that support MCSA's work, including advocacy platforms, member engagement tracking, and internal dashboards. Ensure data is accurate, organized, and consistently updated across systems. Support data collection and submission processes with member schools. Support grant management and reporting by tracking deliverables, coordinating data collection, and ensuring timely submission of required reports and documentation. Coordinate with external partners to support data-related initiatives and ensure alignment with internal workflows. Maintain data hygiene and translate data into clear, usable insights that inform decision-making and organizational priorities. Manage and coordinate logistics for MCSA events, including developing event timelines, coordinating communications, attendance tracking, and ensuring high-quality execution. Proactively manage and prioritize the Executive Director's time and commitments, anticipate needs, and ensure consistent follow-through on key initiatives and external engagements. Support board engagement by organizing materials, managing logistics, and tracking action items. Coordinate with vendors and the bookkeeper to ensure timely processing of invoices and payments. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree required 3+ years of experience in operations, program coordination, or a similar role Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Experience in nonprofit organizations or education-related fields Experience managing systems, workflows, or data in a professional setting Demonstrated ability to take ownership of work, anticipate needs, and operate with a high degree of independence in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail and strong follow-through Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and coordination skills Preferred Familiarity with project management tools (i.e monday.com, Asana, Airtable) Experience supporting events, convenings, or stakeholder engagement Comfort working with data systems and managing information across platforms What we offer
Competitive Salary :
$50,000-$75,000, based on experience.
