Job Description

  • Hungry, Humble, Honest, with Heart.
  • The Opportunity
  • The enterprise infrastructure market is in the middle of its most significant realignment in a decade.
Customers are not only rethinking their infrastructure strategy to modernize their virtualization and refactor their hybrid IT strategy but also innovate with agentic AI. Nutanix sits at the center of these trends. We've already mastered operational simplicity. Now, we're taking that "it just works" magic and extending it to the entire ecosystem. We're looking for a visionary Principal Product Manager to lead the charge, giving customers the freedom to pair our world-class Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure with AHV hypervisor with the external storage and industry-standard servers of their choice.
  • About the Team
  • At Nutanix, you will be joining the Product Management team, a dynamic group of professionals dedicated to innovating and enhancing our product offerings.
The team is geo-dispersed, allowing for a diverse range of perspectives and expertise to come together. Our culture is rooted in collaboration, where open communication and teamwork are encouraged, fostering an environment that inspires creativity and drives success. You will report to a seasoned manager who is passionate about mentoring and empowering team members to reach their full potential. The work setup is hybrid, requiring you to come into the office three days a week to facilitate collaboration and team engagement, while still allowing flexibility for remote work. Travel requirements for this role are as needed, providing opportunities for on-site meetings and collaboration with global colleagues and partners when necessary.
  • Your Role
  • + Drive the strategy for AHV hypervisor integration with external storage.
You'll leverage open, standards-based protocols to deliver VM-centric management, offloading snapshots and clones to the array while keeping the Nutanix experience seamless. + Run continuous market discovery across very different customer segments, virtualization, AI/ML infrastructure, cloud-native platforms, and hybrid cloud to translate sometimes conflicting requirements into a coherent product direction. + Be the face of Nutanix to major storage and server partners. Negotiate joint roadmaps, define certification programs, and manage the lifecycle of high-stakes integrations from inception to launch. + Coordinate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, program management, alliances, and support, to ensure successful execution of the product roadmap. + Collaborate with marketing and enablement teams to drive field and partner enablement initiatives, enabling our sales team and partners to effectively promote and sell our solutions. + Author, build, and maintain compelling internal and external facing collateral, including presentations, whitepapers, and case studies, in partnership with our outbound teams to showcase the value and capabilities of our platform. + Build deep, authentic relationships with our most strategic customers, ensuring their voice is the heartbeat of our development process.
  • What You Will Bring
  • + BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required.
MBA preferred. + 5+ years of experience in product management. + Deep technical knowledge of enterprise storage and modern technologies (NVMe, NVMe-oF). Experience with virtualization, cloud, distributed systems, and infrastructure software a plus + The instinct to talk to customers constantly and translate their needs into shippable requirements. Aptitude to develop and maintain satisfactory working relationships with high-profile enterprise customers. + A track record of running platform ecosystems and partner-driven engagements, you have negotiated integrations with vendors who are simultaneously partners and competitors, and you know how to make those relationships productive. Experience building partner certification or compatibility programs is a major plus. + Attention to detail in executing complex projects. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
