Description Subject Matter Expert (SME) 5 - Data Architect (Key) Position Summary Serves as the senior authority for enterprise data architecture, responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data structures, data warehouses, and metadata frameworks to support mission-critical systems and analytics. Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level data architectures, including relational and dimensional databases. Develop and maintain data warehouse strategies, blueprints, and metadata repositories to support data governance and accessibility. Define data acquisition, archival, and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and continuity. Perform data access analysis, modeling, and optimization for performance and scalability. Evaluate and recommend hardware and software platforms for data management solutions. Integrate disparate systems and ensure seamless data interoperability across environments. Develop and review logical and physical data models to improve data structure and usability. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and database teams. Qualifications Technical training in Data Design, Database Architecture, or Metadata Management Platforms. Minimum of 18 years of experience architecting IT software and data solutions. Demonstrated expertise in at least three areas: data warehousing, database design, metadata management, system integration, and data modeling. Strong knowledge of enterprise data governance and architecture frameworks. Position is contingent upon award.
