Job Description

Required Education:
  • Two-year associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Required Experience:
  • Demonstrated competencies at the Administrative Representative level
  • Advanced knowledge of information systems and equipment for micrographics, reproduction, and computer software and hardware
Job Overview:
The Information Management Specialist fully performs both standard and non-standard transactions associated with the Information Management job family. This role requires advanced knowledge of information systems, document control, and customer service, ensuring compliance and accuracy across organizational records and transactions.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Select, apply, and explain procedures and practices to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Research information sources and document/coordinate results
  • Analyze and assess records and documents submitted by various organizations to ensure compliance with procedural requirements
  • Interpret and analyze customer requests for record and document retrieval to determine location and retrievability
  • Identify and report system software and hardware problems to appropriate technical personnel
  • View and print documents and records from micrographics and reproduction equipment
  • Maintain centralized information centers to support daily work activities
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve problems for document control and records management transactions
  • Input, maintain, and retrieve information from manual and automated systems
  • Provide guidance and ongoing customer service to field personnel in processing and correcting transactions
  • Train end users on information systems capabilities and new applications
  • Coordinate assigned work activities of the first two job standard levels
