The role focuses on reducing database sprawl, improving performance, optimizing infrastructure costs, and ensuring seamless migration of multiple SQL Server instances into consolidated platforms while maintaining data integrity and availability Core DBA Skills SQL Server Administration (2012-2022 / Azure SQL) Backup/Restore, HA/DR, replication, clustering Performance tuning and query optimization Migration & Consolidation Expertise Database migration (cross-version, cross-platform, cloud) Data validation and reconciliation Understanding of consolidation models: Instance consolidation Database consolidation Expertise in below skills Database Consolidation Strategy Migration Planning & Execution Database Administration & Operations Performance Optimization & Capacity Planning Security & Compliance Automation & Tooling Stakeholder & Cross-functional Collaboration Documentation & Governance
