Full Job Description Primary Purpose:
Work closely with the Compliance Manager to provide technical and organizational leadership for the Head Start program's database environment.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or related field
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Advanced Microsoft Office user (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) Strong math and analytical skills Strong computer skills that include hands-on use of a network system and various software applications Strong coordination skills and attention to detail Ability to work in a team setting Excellent written and oral communication skills Solid understanding of databases and data mining
Experience:
Strong experience in data collection, data input, database maintenance, and data analysis Experience in staff training preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Model HCDE and Head Start's mission, vision, and values. Develop and coordinate relevant report design, production, distribution, storage, and maintenance program. Manage all data projects and prepare required data reports in a timely manner, including but not limited to, the annual Program Information Report (PIR), the Annual Report, the Monthly Performance Report, and other reports as requested. Create reports and products based on reporting needs of the programs. Facilitate communication between Head Start and other database administrators and developers. Provide consistent customer service support to center-based staff, Coordinators, and Data Compliance Specialists. Provide database training and orientation, technical assistance, and database support to program users. Serve as the database administrator for the program's main data collection program by coordinating the development and maintenance of the system. Coordinate relevant report design, production, distribution and storage of data for the Head Start program. Attend meetings with appropriate Head Start staff related to the use of the database. Maintain data confidentiality and data integrity. Perform other duties as assigned.
