Data Migration Architect - Azure Data Platform Location:
Houston, TX (Onsite) Summary Seeking an experienced Data Migration Architect to lead large-scale Azure data platform migrations. The role focuses on migrating data, analytics, reporting, and cloud assets across Azure subscriptions and environments while driving architecture, governance, modernization, and delivery. Key Responsibilities Define and execute Azure data migration strategies, frameworks, and target architectures. Lead migration of Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, Power BI, Purview, and Key Vault assets. Modernize data platforms using Lakehouse/Medallion architectures and cloud-native ELT approaches. Migrate enterprise data warehouses, data marts, semantic models, and reporting solutions while ensuring data lineage and reporting continuity. Implement governance, security, RBAC, metadata management, and compliance standards. Lead migration planning, architecture workshops, risk management, and cross-functional delivery teams. Required Qualifications 10+ years in Data Architecture, Cloud Engineering, or Data Migration programs. 5+ years designing enterprise Azure data platforms. Proven experience with Azure subscription-to-subscription migrations. Strong analytics modernization experience. Required Skills Azure:
