Local candidates only (must currently reside in Texas and be local to Austin) Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Administrator to manage, optimize, and secure a cloud-based data platform. This role involves administering Snowflake environments, enabling AI capabilities, and supporting enterprise data operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data governance, access control, and performance optimization, along with the ability to collaborate across technical teams to support analytics and data-driven initiatives. Key Responsibilities Platform Administration & Optimization Administer and maintain the Snowflake platform, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability Monitor and optimize warehouse performance, query execution, and cost efficiency Develop automation scripts for provisioning, monitoring, and system maintenance Security & Access Management Design and implement role-based access control (RBAC) frameworks Manage user roles, privileges, and provisioning aligned with enterprise identity and access management processes Implement security controls including encryption, data masking, and audit monitoring Integrate Snowflake with Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions Data Engineering & Pipeline Support Build and support data pipelines and transformations using DBT Integrate Snowflake with orchestration tools (e.g., Openflow or similar) for workflow automation Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure seamless data ingestion and processing AI & Advanced Capabilities Enable and support Snowflake AI capabilities, including Cortex features Monitor and govern AI usage to ensure accuracy, compliance, and performance Support analytics and AI teams with data platform capabilities Business Analysis & System Improvement Analyze business requirements and recommend technical solutions Conduct feasibility studies and cost/benefit analyses Document system requirements, workflows, and functional specifications Evaluate system capabilities and recommend enhancements Collaboration & Support Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to support analytics use cases Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot platform-related issues Ensure adherence to data governance and compliance standards Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience administering Snowflake in a DBA or similar role Strong expertise in RBAC and data access governance Experience integrating SSO solutions (e.g., Okta, SailPoint) Hands-on experience enabling and managing Snowflake AI (Cortex) capabilities Proficiency in building and supporting data pipelines using DBT Experience integrating Snowflake with workflow orchestration tools Strong knowledge of performance tuning, cost optimization, and query management Experience implementing data security controls (encryption, masking, auditing) Ability to develop automation scripts for platform operations Strong collaboration and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for data platforms Experience with orchestration tools such as Openflow or similar technologies Familiarity with regulated environments such as public sector or healthcare Experience supporting enterprise-scale data and analytics platforms Experience Level Senior-level role requiring 8+ years of relevant experience Ability to work independently on complex tasks with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving skills with a high degree of creativity and initiative Additional Information This is a fully onsite role requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams Candidates should be comfortable working in complex, data-driven environments Strong focus on security, governance, and performance optimization For more details reach at .
