Job Description

Overview The Shingo Institute is seeking a self-starting, Data Analytics and AI fluent person to help work with Shingo Insight which currently uses Tableau and Qualtrics. This role will be instrumental in exploring and implementing AI solutions to improve the current process. This part-time job works with organizations around the world collecting survey data and producing reports to help organizations accelerate their cultural transformations. The survey is structured using the Shingo Model and its guiding principles. This position is telework eligible within the state of Utah. Telework outside of the state of Utah is subject to review and approval by the University prior to a job offer being extended. Responsibilities Build, edit, and maintain Qualtrics surveys (logic, branching, validation, quotas). Manage survey distribution, response tracking, and dataset hygiene. Clean and prepare survey data (handling missing values, recoding, merging waves). Define and maintain consistent metrics (e.g., NPS, CSAT, engagement indices). Analyze survey results to identify trends, drivers, and root causes. Perform basic to intermediate statistical analysis: Crosstabs and segmentation Time over time comparisons Explore and implement AI solutions to improve processes, including using LLMs to search report data and creating searchable databases for future evaluation. Build and maintain Tableau dashboards connected to survey data, designing executive-friendly views and translating complex analysis into clear insights. Translate analysis into clear insights and implications, not just charts. Build and maintain Tableau dashboards connected to survey data. Design executive friendly views (filters, drill downs, KPIs). Refresh data sources and ensure dashboards stay accurate. Optimize dashboards for usability, clarity, and performance. Document metric definitions and dashboard logic. Ensure consistency across survey waves and reports. Follow data privacy and confidentiality practices. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proficient with SalesForce, Qualtrics, and Tableau Correlations or regression Survey creation, logic, and data exports Understanding of standard survey metrics Creating dashboards, calculated fields, filters Connecting to Excel/CSV or simple database sources Descriptive statistics (mean, median, distributions) Segmentation and trend analysis Catching errors, inconsistencies, and misleading visuals Ability to turn data into insights, not just numbers Explain results clearly to non-technical audiences Ask good questions when requirements are unclear Strong written communication for summaries and recommendations
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
