Position Summary:
Colonial Farm Credit ( www.colonialfarmcredit.com ) is a member-owned agricultural credit cooperative and provides loans for:
  • Farms and country homes
  • Land purchase, home construction, and improvements
  • Buildings, machinery, livestock and equipment
  • Production capital for both full-time and part-time farmers
  • Ag-related businesses We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Information Systems Specialist to support and enhance our organization's technology infrastructure and enterprise systems.
This role provides comprehensive technical, operational, and administrative support across systems administration, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications—including payroll systems. The position serves as a technical lead for Windows environments, cloud platforms, and endpoint management tools, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient IT operations. This individual will also act as a key liaison between IT, internal users, and external partners, contributing to strategic initiatives and maintaining high service standards across the organization. Key Responsibilities Systems Administration & End-User Support (45%)
  • Administer Windows Active Directory (user accounts, access controls, group policy)
  • User Lifecycle Management (onboarding, offboarding, and system access provisioning)
  • Provide technical support for Windows 11 systems (onsite and remote)
  • Install, configure, and maintain enterprise hardware and software
  • Support Microsoft 365 environment, including SharePoint Online
  • Manage IT asset inventory and lifecycle planning
  • Deliver user training on systems and applications
  • Provide after-hours support as needed
  • Serve as acting IT lead in the Director's absence Network Administration & Infrastructure (10%)
  • Lead support for Windows-based network environments
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and security
  • Configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure and connectivity
  • Support telecommunications systems, including cloud-based platforms
  • Implement and maintain network security best practices Cybersecurity & Vulnerability Management (20%)
  • Conduct vulnerability scanning, assessment, and remediation
  • Support incident response and security investigations
  • Implement cybersecurity controls aligned with best practices
  • Assist with cybersecurity program governance Endpoint & Mobile Device Management (10%)
  • Administer systems using endpoint management tools (MECM, NinjaOne, Microsoft Intune)
  • Deploy and manage endpoint software configurations and updates
  • Enforce security policies across devices Project Coordination & Vendor Management (15%)
  • Lead IT projects from planning through implementation
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
  • Manage vendor and contractor relationships
  • Support IT budgeting and strategic planning
  • Maintain documentation, policies, and procedures What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in enterprise-level Windows systems administration Education, Experience, and Requirements (Qualifications for Success)
  • Strong expertise in: o Active Directory and Windows environments o Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint Online) o Endpoint management tools (MECM, Intune, NinjaOne) o Networking concepts and infrastructure o Cybersecurity principles and vulnerability management
  • Experience with hardware installation and troubleshooting
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
