Job Description Day-to-Day:
Lead technical architecture strategy across enterprise data platform initiatives Define and enforce ETL/ELT architecture, standards, and best practices Design scalable data pipelines (batch, streaming, real-time) Oversee Snowflake architecture including governance, RBAC, and performance optimization Review data engineering pipeline designs and ensure quality and scalability Provide technical leadership to data engineers and data scientists (no direct management) Establish reusable frameworks, patterns, and blueprints for pipelines Drive enterprise data modeling and semantic layer design Collaborate across engineering, analytics, and business teams Lead data platform governance, including cost optimization, security, and observability Support enterprise migration efforts (Oracle → Snowflake on Azure) Conduct architecture reviews, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking an IT Architect
  • Data & Snowflake for a leading enterprise analytics initiative.
This individual will serve as a strategic technical leader responsible for designing and evolving a modern enterprise data platform. The role focuses on architecting scalable, high-performance data pipelines and establishing best practices across Snowflake and cloud ecosystems. This architect will guide a team of data engineers and data scientists by defining pipeline frameworks, governance standards, and architecture strategy while remaining hands-on at a design and review level. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Snowflake, Oracle Exadata, and ETL/ELT tooling (with a strong preference for Talend), along with experience building enterprise-grade data models and enabling analytics and AI/ML use cases. This is a high-impact, long-term role within a multi-year data transformation initiative, offering the opportunity to shape enterprise data strategy, drive technology decisions, and influence every major data-related project across the organization.
Pay Range:
($60

  •  7+ years experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data platforms
  •  Advanced hands-on expertise with:
  •  Snowflake (performance tuning, RBAC, resource management, streams, tasks, data sharing)
  •  Oracle Exadata
  •  Strong SQL and ELT/ETL framework experience
  •  Cloud data services experience (Azure and/or AWS)
  •  Proven experience designing analytical data models:
  •  Star schema
  •  Snowflake schema
  •  Data vault
  •  Semantic layers
  •  Experience building scalable pipelines using tools like: dbt, Airflow, ADF, Databricks, Informatica, Talend (highly preferred)
  •  Experience with tool-based data pipeline development (Talend or Informatica strongly desired)
  •  Experience with Dataiku for analytics and ML enablement
  •  Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  •  Certifications (Snowflake, Azure, Databricks, Informatica, etc.)
  •  Dataiku + ML pipeline exposure
  •  Experience with AI/ML data architecture or feature pipelines
  •  Exposure to DataOps / CI-CD frameworks
  •  Experience migrating from on-prem (Oracle) to cloud (Snowflake on Azure)
