- _What Data Management and Governance contributes to Cardinal Health_
- The Data & Analytics Function oversees the analytics life-cycle in order to identify, analyze and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage.
- Responsibilities
- The Senior Advisor, Data Governance & Platform Enablement plays a critical role in advancing data governance capabilities across Sonexus, with a primary focus on establishing trust in data assets that support analytics, AI, and emerging agentic systems.
Key responsibilities include:
+ Serve as a hands‑on data governance consultant within Sonexus, enabling and operationalizing governance capabilities across the analytics platform (Databricks). + Establish and evolve a data governance strategy that supports trusted, well‑understood data assets for business functions, analytics, AI, and advanced use cases. + Define and maintain governance standards that promote data discoverability, appropriate use, and confidence in data, in partnership with Information Security and compliance teams and aligned with enterprise/regulatory expectations and tools. + Partner with Data Owners, Business Stakeholders, and Technical Leads to identify and prioritize critical data elements that impact reporting, decisions, and AI outcomes. + Capture and govern business data definitions and essential dataset context to ensure consistent interpretation and use. + Apply governance within a central‑to‑federated operating model, enabling distributed ownership while maintaining alignment to enterprise standards. + Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reliability, and consistency through analysis, partnership, and governance controls. + Act as a trusted advisor and change agent, communicating governance progress, risks, and outcomes in clear, business‑focused terms.- _Qualifications_
- + 6-12 years of experience in data governance, data management, analytics enablement, or related data roles, preferably within complex or regulated environment preferred + Demonstrated experience working with modern cloud data platforms, with strong preference for GCP and Databricks.
Strong understanding of:
+ Data definitions and semantics + Critical data elements and prioritization + Metadata management and data classification + Data quality concepts and impacts Experience partnering effectively with: + Business and functional stakeholders + Analytics and BI teams + Data engineering and platform teams- _What is expected of you and others at this level_
- + Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects + Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals + Recommends new practices, processes, metrics, or models + Works on or may lead complex projects of large scope + Projects may have significant and long-term impact + Provides solutions which may set precedent + Independently determines method for completion of new projects + Receives guidance on overall project objectives + Acts as a mentor to less experienced colleagues •
TRAINING AND WORK SCHEDULES
- Your new hire training will take place 8:00am-5:00pm CST, mandatory attendance is required. This position is full-time (40 hours/week). Employees are required to have ability to work the scheduled shift of Monday-Friday, 8:00am- 5:00pm CT.

- $105,100-$150,100 annually
