Leads the organization's quality data reporting compliance, and benchmarking activities to support patient safety and performance improvement. This position is primarily responsible for completeness and accuracy of patient safety and quality data submissions toCMS, JC, DOH, WSHA
, PCMH, Leapfrog, and other registries and databases (Vizient, Press Ganey, CMDC). This position monitors regulatory and payor climates and anticipates impact on departmental deliverables; subsequently, makes proactive recommendations to assure compliance and avoidance of adverse (quality, finance, image) results. Serving as a key liaison across clinical, operational, and IT teams, this role ensures compliance with evolving standards and supports data-driven decision-making across the organization.DEPARTMENT

Bachelor's degree preferably in health information management, healthcare informatics or a clinical field, required. Minimum 5 years recent experience in acute health care setting, including responsibilities related to quality and core measures submissions, reporting, and process improvement. Experience analyzing and interpreting quality performance data, with the ability to translate complex measures into clear, actionable information for both IT teams and organizational leaders. Experience in use of electronic health record (EHR) including reporting; Epic experience preferred.QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite®; particularly Excel, including Analysis Tool Kit, QI Macros ,or equivalent statistical analysis software. Knowledge of research methodology, principles, procedures, and bio-statistical analyses, and analytical techniques, including hypotheses testing and examining relationships among variables. Knowledge of common clinical data elements, coding, and data structures (e.g., ICD-10 codes, CPT, etc.), including data management and reporting implications. Ability to design, implement and maintain systems necessary to retrieve, analyze, report, and file data. Ability to generate reports from various software programs and databases, using quantitative and qualitative data in performance measurement and improvement. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver effective reports and presentations. Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and information as required. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines for regulatory requirements. Support the organization-wide quality management, patient safety, and performance improvement programs through the retrieval, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of data internally and externally (including Epic, Vizient, Press Ganey, and NHSN etc.). Prepare and deliver high-quality reports, dashboards, and executive-level presentations for quality committees, medical staff, leadership, and accrediting bodies. Lead the coordination, validation, and timely submission of hospital quality measures to external entities, including CMS, TJC, and other regulatory agencies, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to all deadlines. Ensure data integrity, maintain accuracy and consistency across quality databases and reporting platforms. Coordinate with clinical, quality, infection prevention, and operational teams to ensure accurate, valid, and timely data collection, abstraction, and reporting in accordance with established specifications and intended use. Maintain current knowledge and ensure compliance of evolving regulatory requirements, data definitions, and industry standards, including mandates from CMS, DOH, accreditation bodies, and quality reporting organizations; facilitate cross-functional readiness and compliance. Monitor communications from regulatory agencies and vendors to ensure timely review, validation, and response to data submissions, previews, audits, and system requirements. Collaborate closely with IT and clinical quality analysts to support CMS IQR, OQR, and eCQM measures. Function as the organizational liaison and subject matter expert for quality data and reporting, including responsibility for defining metrics, running reports, submitting data, validating dashboards, and ensuring alignment with entities like WSHA, and programs such as CMS initiatives, Medicaid incentives, QBS, Leapfrog, CMDC maternal data center, and PCMH. Monitor and manage publicly reported quality data and rankings, such as Leapfrog and other assigned quality programs, proactively identifying trends, variances, and potential risks. Monitor benchmarking and comparative performance (e.g., Vizient Quality & Accountability Scorecard, WSHA, Leapfrog) and recommend actionable insights through leadership channels and quality governance structures. Serve as a subject matter expert and organizational resource on quality metrics, reporting requirements, and data interpretation, providing guidance to physicians, leadership, staff, and committees. Advise leadership on emerging business needs, data trends, and risks that may impact departmental or organizational performance, reputation, or regulatory compliance; recommend appropriate actions. Analyze, interpret, and present data using performance improvement methodologies and statistical tools (e.g., run charts, control charts, statistical process control), translating findings into actionable insights for clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders. Develop, standardize, and enhance reporting tools, dashboards, and workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of data abstraction, analysis, and reporting processes. Independently abstract and analyze complex clinical data from electronic medical records and other data sources as required. Manage and oversee the Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) process, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies. Provide recommendations regarding resource allocation, workload distribution, and technology needs to support evolving data demands, reporting complexity, and program priorities. Support onboarding and education of staff related to quality data systems, reporting requirements, and performance improvement methodologies.
