Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented professional to lead the design and governance of unified data models for a digital transformation initiative within the aviation training sector. Our team is looking for an individual who can drive data architecture excellence, ensuring scalable, high-quality data solutions across a global organization.
Responsibilities:
Design, document, and maintain Unified Data Model (UDM) artifacts and mapping logic for advanced analytics applications. Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to define process layers, transformation rules, data lineage, and schema evolution in a datalake built on Azure Databricks. Translate business and technical requirements into actionable data transformation specifications and ensure adherence to governance and security policies. Provide technical mentoring, conduct architecture/code reviews, and facilitate effective communication across time zones to ensure successful solution delivery.
Required:
9+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or related data engineering roles. Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Unified Data Models; strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling across multiple process layers. Expertise in data governance, data lineage, metadata management, and data quality; experience with Databricks and building/architecting datalake solutions. Proven ability to collaborate with geographically distributed teams and flexibility for off-hour work to coordinate with colleagues in different time zones.
