Entry Level We are looking for a GIS Analyst 1 to join our team and support the development, maintenance, and analysis of spatial data across geology, mining, land ownership, and related domains. In this role, you'll contribute to mapping, data validation, and geospatial workflows that drive operational and analytical decision-making. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, uphold data quality standards, and grow your GIS and database skills within a technically focused, collaborative environment. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience 0-2 years of GIS experience in a professional, academic, or internship setting Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred Required Qualifications Proficiency with ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online Solid grounding in GIS principles, spatial analysis, and geospatial workflows Familiarity with relational database concepts and RDBMS environments Working knowledge of cartographic design and visualization practices Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a sharp eye for data accuracy Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting needs Comfortable working both independently and within a collaborative team Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism Ability to quality-check data records against established company standards Preferred Qualifications Experience converting diverse data types into geospatial layers within ArcGIS Familiarity with basic PostgreSQL queries and Python scripting Experience with geospatial data management workflows and metadata maintenance Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance geospatial datasets, metadata, and related documentation Support mapping, spatial analysis, and visualization efforts to meet operational requirements Research, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources to inform accurate geospatial intelligence Collaborate with cross-functional teams on geospatial initiatives and project deliverables Produce maps/material to support corporate presentations and press releases. Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through established quality control procedures Contribute to continuous improvement of GIS workflows, processes, and data quality standards Demonstrate and uphold company core values in all aspects of work Perform additional duties to support production and delivery of assigned needs
