About the

Role:

As a GIS Technician, you will be responsible for utilizing GIS and other software to compile and edit various types of GIS data. You will also collaborate with engineers and surveyors to support project data and mapping needs, including creating both PDF and Web-Based Maps.

What You Will Be Doing:

Researching information, including survey data, aerial photographs, LiDAR data, environmental data, transportation information, and utility dataWorking with engineers and surveyors to update GIS databases, Web Maps, PDF Maps, and other figuresResponsible for converting data in and out of various GIS and geospatial data formatsResponsible for creating and updating metadata along with documenting GIS proceduresWill use GIS knowledge to implement creative solutions for ongoing projectsUtilize ESRI ArcGIS Pro, ESRI Enterprise, AutoCAD, Google Earth, along with other industry-related software

What You Bring:

Associates or Bachelors degree in Geography, GIS, or related field (preferred)1+ years of experience (preferred)Proficiency in using GIS software (i.e. ArcGIS Pro) (preferred)Knowledge of maintaining and editing GIS databases (preferred) Knowledge of web mapping applications (preferred)Experience with Microsoft Office softwareProficiency in handling multiple tasks daily and weeklyStrong desire to advance your knowledge and keep up to date with upgrades in technologyAbility to work safely and always obey safety regulationsAbility to communicate technical information both verbally and in writingSkilled at working with minimal supervision and in a team environmentAbility to work overtime as required and/or travel for out-of-town assignmentCandidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the companys driving (MVR) policySo...Why Join Us?
