This fifth-generation company has built the Ryan foundation in the site development, civil, highway industry, mining and asphalt production by exceeding client expectations and providing comprehensive services. This position will be working from our Stuart office. Our corporate headquarter is in Deerfield Beach, FL with satellite offices in Stuart, FL and Miami, FL.
Description:
The Senior CAD/GIS Technician is responsible for helping to lead the CAD/Drafting group in day-to-day office tasks. This position plays a critical role in the pre-construction, construction and final phases of our projects. You will work closely with Survey Crews, Engineers, and other CAD Technicians to ensure that all work is accurate and aligned with project goals.
The position also requires:
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities:
Develop drawings to support survey and construction activities. Manage computer systems and software to support survey operations. Interpret drawings based on project and pull information as required. Train and mentor other CAD technicians. Train survey crews on CAD/GIS technologies and data transfer/post processing.
Qualifications:
Five years of prior experience in similar or closely related positions Associate's degree or technical certificate in CAD/GIS combined with significant, high-level work experience Bachelor's degree is preferred, with specialized in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Proficient with various software including Trimble Business Center, MicroStation (Bentley), Autodesk, Carlson Civil/Survey, ArcGIS Pro, other software for post processing data. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Prior experience with FDOT is a plus
Schedule :
This is an hourly position, typically with Monday-Friday schedule.
