Job Description We are seeking a Civil Engineer with 1-5 years experience with a background in civil design work related to roadways and transporation. A successful candidate has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, strong analytical and communication skills, enjoys working on multiple projects, and can work well in a team setting. The candidate will also have a strong knowledge of software systems including AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and Power BI.
Responsibilities:
Assisting in the preparation or modification of plans, specifications, report construction schedules, permits, and project design Applying standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies in results, and follow operations through a series of related steps or processes Preparing design computations and quantity estimates Assisting in the development of probable construction cost estimates for projects Design and layout of roadway and highway plans and details. Reviewing construction site to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program. Completion of the FE exam, or intention to take it within the next 6 months Strong computer skills required, including Power BI, Excel, and Microsoft Project. Strong engineering software skills including a working knowledge of Arc GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Geopak, InRoads, and/or OpenRoads Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong commitment to innovation, by creating new and better ways to solve clients' toughest challenges.
