Geographic Information Systems (GIS) play a vital role in local government by enhancing decision-making, planning, and resource management. GIS enables the efficient visualization, analysis, and interpretation of spatial data, allowing local authorities to identify patterns, trends, and relationships within their communities.
What You'll Be Doing:
As a GIS Technician, you'll play a crucial role in: Working directly with our GIS Coordinator to improve the GIS mapping and reporting for various county departments. Accurately collecting, verifying, and analyzing parcel data and maps to ensure top-notch quality. Utilizing cutting-edge software while adhering to established policies and procedures. Preparing and presenting detailed reports to diverse audiences. Why Join Us?
