Job Summary:
The group you'll be a part of In the Global Products Group, we are dedicated to excellence in the design and engineering of Lam's etch and deposition products. We drive innovation to ensure our cutting-edge solutions are helping to solve the biggest challenges in the semiconductor industry. The impact you'll make Your major responsibility will be to process samples using FEI/Thermo Fisher SEM tools. Sample types will consist of topdown imaging and crosssectional SEM imaging. Additional responsibilities include imaging AutoTEMprepped lamella using the installed STEM detector on the SEM tool. What you'll do Follow lab methodology for
TDSEM/XSEM
sample preparation consistent with quality standards. Optimize personal workflow for efficient throughput of samples. Communicate with lab management to provide work-completion time estimates. Provide feedback to lab management for continuous improvement opportunities in lab workflows. Communicate with team members to ensure alignment on methodologies. Protect customer material and IP at all times. Who we're looking for 4-6 years of experience with a BS degree in a physical science, or a specialized AS degree or equivalent professional training on materials science and analytical techniques. Experience operating single beam SEM tools, with particular focus in the preparation of cleaved cross-sections for XSEM imaging. Knowledge of the physics involved with SEM tools, such as vacuum systems, voltage/current effects, and ways to work around charging issues. Preferred qualifications Associates degree, Technical Certificate, Diploma or higher in a technical field. Sample prep experience in precision cleaving tools is a plus. Familiarity with key developments and materials in the semiconductor industry is a plus. Experience creating and presenting technical documentation.
