Position Overview:
Job Summary Input, processing, and maintenance of Client Distribution Lines and Equipment assets in an
ESRI GIS
database. Qualification Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's degree (Geography, GIS, or similar field), GIS Certificate, or at least 2 years of full time GIS work experience is required Power Distribution knowledge is a plus Experience with ESRI ArcGIS software required; experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro software is a plus Competency with standard computer software, to include Microsoft Office suite is required Capable of working in a team environment is required Experience with CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) is a plus Work Schedule & Location Flexible to work 40 hours per week, M-F, in an office environment in Birmingham, Alabama. Shifts may be 8 or 10 hours per day, starting as early as 7 am and ending as late as 5 p.m. Flexible to work remotely (from home) as well. Remote work requires a stable broadband Internet connection of 20mb/s or capable of supporting remote desktop connections over VPN and is the responsibility of the worker.
Work Arrangement Note:
Following an estimated training period of ~3 months in Birmingham, AL (duration may vary by individual), the role may transition to primarily remote work, with occasional in-office requirements for meetings, training, or other business needs. However, only candidates currently residing locally will be considered. Those willing to relocate will not be eligible. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance to the Birmingham office, as per diem will not be provided for any on-site requirements.
